Yes, regular pet insurance companies are not interested in insuring ferrets. I took another look at options- still the same as I presented in the article. I contacted Trupanion on the off chance they may have a program for ferrets, since the policy you describe above would be a great alternative. They don’t offer anything for ferrets. Here’s what customer service had to say:
